The Bradford Board of Education seeks applicant to fill the unexpired term of board member, Stanley Jay Roberts, who resigned August 16, 2017. Stanley Jay Roberts was elected to The Bradford Board of Education on November 5, 2013. The board must name a replacement within 30 days of the resignation. The newly appointed member will serve until December 31, 2017. If the appointed member desires to continue serving, he or she must run in the next general election.
Those interested in serving on The Bradford Board of Education should send a letter of interest to Carla Surber, Treasurer, office located at The Bradford Board of Education Office. Deadline for letters of interest will be on September 6, 2017.
According to Ohio law, people serving on Ohio school boards must be at least 18 years old, district residents and registered voters.
Dr. Swabb said the board will review all letters of interest and decide on the replacement at its September 21, 2017, board meeting.
Bradford Exempted Village School serves approximately 500 students in one K-12 building.
